Brown Hound Sounds is an award winning, NOLA-based music production team specializing in custom scores and soundtracks for TV, film, and brands. Danny Abel and Andrew Meehan created their company after working together for years, both in live and studio settings. Danny is a Grammy-nominated guitarist who has toured the world extensively (Tank and the Bangas, Big Freedia, Erica Falls) and has played all over the Crescent City with various bands of genres ranging from Jazz to Funk to Hip Hop and Pop, or anything in between. Andrew (known on stage as Drew Meez) has also performed and toured with groups of all styles (Gravity A, Partners-N-Crime, Smoker’s World), and his years focused on Electronic music and Hip-Hop production have given him a skill set that allows him to branch beyond what is typically considered New Orleans sounds. After years of gigging together and honing in their musical diversity and knowledge, Danny and Andrew decided to dive deeper into the field of composing music for video. They spent extensive time building a large library that captures sounds and styles for any use, have produced custom scores for film teams, and won an ADDY award for best music in a commercial in 2023. The two musician/producers have immense creativity as well as strong ties to the musicians and culture of New Orleans, and can execute just about anything in their music productions.
